Title:   “Soultrane”

Label:   PRESTIGE.  Yellow label with black text.  Mono pressing on medium thick vinyl with deep groove.   “RVG” is etched on both sides.  Catalog number is PRLP 7142.  

Date:  1958. 

Personnel:  John Coltrane – tenor sax;  Red Garland – piano;  Paul Chambers – bass;  Arthur Taylor - drums. 

Condition: 

DISC:  Vinyl is nice VG++ with full original gloss.  Has been played a small number of times and handled with care.  There are a few slight hairline paper scuffs, but no serious or audible marks or problems except for perhaps an occasional isolated very soft tick.  Labels are clean.  A very fine playing copy of this essential album.   

JACKET:   Jacket is nice VG++.  Front artwork is clean and bright, with a few slight traces of surface wear just beginning to appear.  Nice seams and spine.  Bit of wear at corner tips.  Reverse has darkened slightly with age, particularly around the edges.  There is a very slight stain at top right corner where it appears a price sticker was carefully removed.  No writing or other problems.  Overall a very presentable jacket to accompany the beautiful disc.
