JOHN LEE HOOKER - House of the Blues. UK PYE (international) Mono LP NPL 28042 1964 R& B Series
DISC - The disc is visually in Vg++ with just a few light dust type abrasions, it plays EX throughout. For an Lp of this age, it really would be hard to find better . One detrement to the disc is the fact that someone has at some tine drawn a black line down the label on both sides ?. . Side 2 has a name written on the label faded but visual. Audio wise a really good example. and one that very seldom turns up as a UK issue.
SLEEVE - The Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse single sleeve with flip back style construction. Take a look at the pics. A fantastic sheen to the front sleeve , there are slight c type creases at the opening edge ,where the disc has been taken out but nothing nasty, The spine is fully readable and in good shape. The rear side is reasonably clean, No tears, No stickers etc. There is slight browning along the rear opening edge only Take a look at pics . I hope you will agree this must get a VG+

GRADING: All of our records are graded using the standard UK Record Collector Grading system as follows:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or un-played should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges,
spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
