"JOHN LENNON SINGS THE GREAT ROCK & ROLL HITS - ROOTS"  -  SCARCE VERY RARE ORIGINAL PRESSING (NOT A Counterfeit) STEREO RECORD LP made in the United States in 1975 by ADAM VIII Ltd (A8018 / Stereo).  THIS IS AN ORIGINAL PRESSING mail order record that was deleted immedietly after it's release.   There are counterfeits floating around out there (as seen listed on ebay recently) but this is a TRUE ORIGINAL ISSUE with BELL SOUND stamped in the run off grooves + THE CATALOG NUMBER IS ALSO STAMPED INTO THE LABEL.  (please see the pictures - i apologize for the blurry image of the run off groove picture but please be asured this is the real thing).    The Spine reads:  'John Lennon Sings Great Rock & Rock Hits' and not 'Greatest...' like the fake versions.   THIS IS THE REAL DEAL & AN EXTREMELY RARE RECORD ALBUM. 

This Record was acquired from a long time Beatles collector from where i also obtained a MONO SGT. PEPPER'S album, an original 1st pressing WHITE ALBUM (both of which i will be listing this week) & a few other items.   The songs included on this album are:  BE-BOP-A-LULA / AIN'T THAT A SHAME / STAND BY ME / SWEET LITTLE SIXTEEN / RIP IT UP / ANGEL BABY / DO YOU WANT TO DANCE / YOU CAN'T CATCH ME / BONY MORONIE / PEGGY SUE / BRING IT ON HOME TO ME / SLIPPIN' AND SLIDIN' / BE MY BABY / YA YA / JUST BECAUSE.   
CONDITION OF THE COVER:  Strong VG+ with very light wear, a very small seam split at the top edge, a few small light creases, a couple of very light scratch marks + a very small tear in the middle of the spine.  

 CONDITION OF THE RECORD:  VG++ / Clean with no wear & only a couple of small, very light scratches on each side that do not affect play.  This Record has also been cleaned on a VPI machine & plays wonderfully.   The LABELS are clean with some light spindle marks on each side.
