Description
This is the original UK LP by JOHN MAYALL, LOOKING BACK, 1969 Stereo 1st Pressing on the Un-Boxed deep blue wideband DECCA label SKL 5010, complete with its very 1st issue gatefold cover and Decca Stereo inner sleeve
Matrix numbers are, Side 1:- ZAL-8987.P-2W, Side 2:- ZAL-8988.P-2W
Stampers are, Side 1:- 1 / H, Side 2:- 1 / O, super low mother stampers!
Both matrix and stamper codes indentify this as a Stereo very 1st pressing.
The original 1969 UK Clout & Baker gatefold cover is in a SUPERB EX+++, lovely and clean, inside and out, the glossy laminated out side is STUNNING, maintaining all it's original bright vibrant colours, gleaming!!, the inside of the gatefold, is again lovely and clean and fresh!, superb!!. Note that on the back top right hand corner is the white box with a round hole, Red for Mono, and Blue for Stereo, once the red or blue inner sleeve is inserted the colour denotes the pressing, only in 1969 did this appear on the back of original 1969 UK Decca covers, 1970 onwards, Decca scrapped this design, a sure way of indentifing a very 1st 1969 UK Decca cover. Their is no unwanted writing, no tears, no rips, no seam splits, the spine is broad, (not squashed as many are), lovely and clean and perfectly readable
The vinyl is in ** MINT ** condition!!, gleaming with all it's original shine and lustre!, I have played both sides (very carefully!) one of only possibly 2 plays, including mine!, and the vinyl plays ** MINT !!! **, even quiet in run-in, run-off areas and inbetween tracks! the vinyl plays with stunning crisp clear clarity, the quality of this 1969 UK Stereo 1st Pressing is TOP TOP QUALITY!, playing with stunning rich tones, warmth and depth!! a great LP and a TRUELY WONDERFUL PLAYING VINYL!!!!!!
The STUNNING original Stunning deep blue wide -band Un-Boxed Stereo DECCA labels are in ** MINT ** condition!!!, beautifully clean and factory fresh!, maintaining all their original bright fresh colour, their is no unwanted writing, no scuffs, the centre spindle hole shows no wear!, no re-allignment marks!, beautiful labels, cant be bettered in my opinion
The vinyl is housed in it's original 1969 UK 1st issue Blue and White Stereo DECCA polythene lined inner sleeve and in EX+ condition!, clean, only a little aged, no unwanted writing and no seam splits
Altogther a SUPERB example of this RARE 1969 UK 1st Press Stereo LP, SO SO HARD TO FIND IN THIS STUNNING CONDITION!, ULTIMATE MINT VINYL, LABEL'S and AUDIO! and a SUPERB 1st issue gatefold cover!
