Description

 JOHN MAYALL'S BLUES BREAKERS
'CRUSADE'

on the MAROON RED MONO DECCA RECORDS original lable LP LK 4890 from 1967 in Stereo.

From the 'Beano' album to this gem, Mayall's Bluesbreakers were the best in British electric blues of the time. Guitar legends were coming and going through a revolving door, as well as other band-members too.
Eric Clapton was the best-known of them, but his departure for Cream heralded the big moment for Peter Green - before he and Mick Fleetwood also departed to form Fleetwood Mac. Not forgetting the brilliant Aynsley Dunbar, he'd hired and fired some of the best British musicians around!
Perhaps his most steady, level-headed young talent though, was Mick Taylor.....and he was grafted into the wildest band in the land The Rolling Stones, following this release.
It's clear why they regarded him as a replacement for Brian Jones though, as his playing was controlled and tasteful, and he made a good 'foil' for Keith Richards to play alongside.
This album doesn't have a weak track throughout, making for a fully enjoyable play from start to finish. Great blues tributes, & great originals by US blues legends adorn this release, and this copy is in top shape MONO issue.

Vinyl condition is NM-, no scratches or scuffs, a light sign of paper-lines from taking the LP out from the sleeve, barely visible.
The lables are clean, no pen or stains whatsoever.
The laminated cover is VG++, nice and bright with a couple of creases in the laminate, hence this grade.

A keeper, and a great playing copy, with a low starting bid.
