Vinyl: The 10" album is in Very Good + condition. It has been professionally cleaned on an Okki Nokki machine and played twice in its entirety on high end equipment in order to review each track. I'm going to break the review down track by track so that the reader gets a comprehensive view as to the overall condition. This album is 52 years old and is pressed on heavy gauge vinyl which lies perfectly flat on the deck. This is a solid piece of vinyl history and I only wish that modern pressing were as reasuring as these early prints. There is some background hiss throughout the album although this is not excessive, nor does it ever detract from the loud cut, high volume quality of the music. This is good listen at high volume from end to end, so the detail:
The Tracks - Side 1
- Track 1 - Honey Hush - Light background hiss on the run in, the volume of the reproduction is quite amazing - this was very well recorded and the sound leaps from the vinyl. Great sound quality with 4 light "pops" nearing the end of the track. No skips of jumps. The "pops" do not detract from the listening experience at all.
- Track 2 - Lonesome Train - Quiet run in - exceptional sound quality with 4/5 very light "pops" in the middle of the track. No skips of jumps.
- Track 3 - Sweet Love On My Mind - Light background noise on the run in - no skips or jumps or other imperfections
- Track 4 - Rock Billy Boogie - Light background noise on the run in - no skips or jumps or other imperfections
- Track 5 - Lonesome Tears In My Eyes - Light background noise on the run in - no skips or jumps or other imperfections
- Track 6 - All By Myself - Light background noise on the run in - no skips or jumps or other imperfections
The Tracks - Side 2
- Track 1 - The Train Kept A-Rollin - Light Background noise on the run in - no skips of jumps or other imperfections
- Track 2 - I Just Found Out - Light Background noise on the run in - no skips of jumps or other imperfections
- Track 3 - Your Baby Blue Eyes - Light Background noise on the run in - no skips of jumps or other imperfections
- Track 4 - Chains Of Love - Light Background noise on the run in - no skips of jumps or other imperfections
- Track 5 - I Love You So - Light Background noise on the run in - no skips of jumps or other imperfections

Record Grading:
All records are graded as per the standards set by Record Collector. Records are examined under a strong halogen light and graded accordingly. In addition, all NON MINT records are played on a LINN Axis turntable with an Akito arm with a Roksan cartridge. I tend not to get carried away with the classification or use words like “impossibly rare” “vault copy” or any other such nonsense. My reviews are precise and to the point. It is assumed that you know something of the artist so I rarely provide a description of who they are/were etc. The High Numbers become The Who, `N Betweens become Slade – you will not find a long description on the history in these reviews.
Record Cleaning:
All NON MINT albums are professionally cleaned prior to classification on an Okki Nokki record cleaning machine before dispatch. Machine available from www.stamfordaudio.co.uk
Packaging: (all vinyl 7” + 12”)
Packaging is of the highest quality. I use professional mailers at all times, each record is supported by 2 cardboard stiffeners. The inner sleeve and record are packed individually in order to reduce wear on the sleeve in transit. The record, inner and cardboard stiffeners are then packed inside a high grade polythene record protector before being sealed in the mailer. The mailer is then supported by tape around the edges in order to minimise risk.
Postage Costs:
Postage is normally done the next working day after payment. Proof of postage is retained with all items. Recorded delivery on request.
