Visual : NEAR MINT (High Gloss with Bright Clean Labels, Thick-Heavy Vinyl)
Audio : NEAR MINT
Cover Condition : EXCELLENT (Nice laminated front, nice edges & spine... at about 1/4 of the opening, the lamination is starting to separate and has a small piece missing, clean back cover with some very light staining)
** It says "The popular Gene Lowery Singers provide an added element on several of the selections on the album" on the back cover, but listening to this LP it sounds like they sing backup on 9 of the 12 tracks. Perhaps it's his own band or other singers on the tracks in question. Whatever the case, they are great different takes to the popular, often heard versions. The songs which have "backup" singers are: Tracks 1-5 on Side 1 and Tracks 1-4 on side 2. That includes two of his most popular tracks Folsom Prison Blues & I Walk The Line, which sound significantly different.
