Description

Welcome To Subterranean Records

As some of you may know, after 17+ years of doing business in New York City we were forced to close our retail shop on February 1st, 2008. Due to insane increases in rents in our area we decided not to re-open but rather sell the remaining stock from our shop here on eBay's pages. There will be some exceptionally rare items from both our shop and my own personal collection.

Item: Rare original Norgran vinyl LP of "The Blues" from Johnny Hodges and his Orchestra. This is an original first pressing. It's a deep groove pressing with no scratches or needle marks, perhaps a light scuff or two if that. The labels are spotless with no spindle marks that I can see. Whoever owned this previously took great care not to damage the LP. The laminated cover is VG+ with some shelf wear, no spine wear, no seam splitting or writing. The top left corner looks as though there might've been a price sticker removed at one time, it's not torn it just looks like some sorta stain, but not really sure what it could be from, still, it's hardly noticeable. So here you have the facts. If you have any doubts or questions please contact us before bidding.

Tracks include:

1. Rosanne

2. Hodge-Podge

3. Jappa

4. Through For The Night

5. Sheik of Araby

6. Latino

7. Johnny's Blues

8. Indiana

9. Easy Going Bounce

10. Burgundy Walk

I will ship the LP outside of the jacket to prevent any seam splitting. Please contact us with any questions you might have concerning this item before bidding on this item LP, especially International buyers as there will be NO postage refund for returns.

Payment: We accept Paypal, checks and money orders as well as bank transfers. We reserve the right to refuse a sale to any buyer we feel might be a risk. International Paypal buyers must have a feedback rating of 25 or more, all of which must be positive.

Shipping: All US buyers will be provided with a tracking number. Insurance is optional, though we do recommend it as we take no responsibility for lost or damaged items. International buyers may be required to add $11.00 for registering any LP over $100 depending on your eBay status.
