Vinyl: VG++ Plays a very strong solid VG++ has a couple of long surface only lines side 2 which didn't seem to effect the sound Cover: VG+ a little edge wear Besides the original inner sleeve in pretty decent shape I'm including the very cool see thru Columbia inner sleeve (see the last picture)

NM (Near Mint): Record and cover appear virtually unmarked.
VG++: Will play NM or just short of it. Will have just a very few visual marks.
VG+ : Used but not abused. Will probably have some relatively slight audible imperfections.
VG : Many only surface lines or may have a small scratch that doesn't skip.Background sound but still enjoyable.
Cover defects will be noted.
VG-: significant background sound from various defects but music always quite audible above it.
Cover has some damage that will be noted.

depending on the weight that a tone arm is set at or the quality of the stylus
what is just a pop on one player can sometimes be a skip on another
