Description

José Iturbi, born in Valencia, Spain, November 28, 1895 - died June 28, 1980, studied in Valenica, Barcelona and at the Paris Conservatory with the harpsichordist Wanda Landowska. Beginning 1912 his worldwide concert tours, American debut in New York City in  1929. Beetween 1911 and 1937, his was also the frequent accompanist to the Spanish violinist Manuel Quiroga. 1937 he was named conductor of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchester, New York, serving until 1944. José Iturbi continued his public performances into his eigthies.

3 = a good average copy with more noticeable rubs and marks; light greying, few light scratches possible

3-4 = more traces of use, sonic wear from light greying. An inferior average copy, light scratches possible

4 = some sounding wear, heavier rubs and marks, scratches possible

5 = obvious sounding wear, heavy rubs, marks, scratches. An unsatisfactory copy.
