Description

This is a fine original U.K. pressing copy of a limited edition posthumous double LP archival release by British post-punk group Joy Division, released in 1981.  The record combines studio outtakes and a comp track (all but one track on disc 1) with live material (their last concert (disc 2) and a stab at the Velvet Underground's "Sister Ray" at the end of disc 1).  This copy is from an edition of 5,000 issued in an elaborate package: a clothbound "hessian" thick cardboard gatefold jacket with a cardboard gatefold inner sleeve attached to the outer jacket by a white ribbon, and plain cardboard sleeves for the discs inside the pockets of the gatefold inner sleeve.  The outer jacket and gatefold inner sleeve are close to M- with light creasing in a couple of corners and light scraping in a couple of places (see photo of the larger of these) -- EX+.  Visually, the discs have a little light dinging and scuffing.  Disc 1 plays with a little light popping at the start of side 2, track 5, and otherwise with some light surface noise, while disc 2 plays with minimal surface noise.  Overall EX(+).

I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded discs except where otherwise noted.
