Description
Available here is a double 12” vinyl LP set by Joy Division - Still. The Discogs website indicates that there were five early different vinyl incarnations of this item and this is the most collectible version. It comes with a clothbound hessian cover, stiff cardboard die-cut inners and a spine ribbon. It was issued by Factory in 1981 with the catalogue number FACT 40.

Vinyl Condition - Excellent- - Difficult to grade and possibly just VG+ visually. Both records are reasonably bright and clean and while there are no worrying scratches, close examination will reveal a number of light surface marks. Having listened all the way through, performance wise Ex- … no jumping or sticking and barely a click to be heard. Background crackle/noise is largely negligible, low level, and if heard never intrusive.
Cover/Sleeve Condition - Very Good - This is a difficult set to acquire in excellent condition, as the various component parts have proved prone to wear and discolouration. This one is quite reasonable … so … original outer gatefold cover with rubbing/abrasion to one corner and a little edge discolouration/minor marks in places. Inner gatefold has also experienced a degree of edge discolouration. Matching inner die-cut sleeves are free from any damage but again a touch discoloured in places along their edges. The whole affair is held together by a tied ribbon, which looks like it might be a later replacement, given that it appears near immaculate and there is no fade or discolouration.

It’s also a rather heavy set, which is likely to weigh around 1.4kgs once boxed and securely wrapped. As a result, the following charges will apply.

It is not my intention to profit from postage. If possible I use good clean recyclable material but I also buy bubble wrap, brown paper, packing tape and glue and all items are well wrapped and protected before posting. Items are also weighed and postage calculated before I list at auction and a small percentage of the charge does go towards packing costs.
