the deep groove is on one side only,the only other copy ive had was the same,and ive never seen this on any of 60 BNs ive owned ,if this compromises any bids on this item i will withdraw it and relist,ive checked all sources and discographies ,but there is no mention of this abnormality?

subject to much interest and good advice it transpires that what i said would indeed seem factual that all known copies seen in UK were as described above owing to different pressing plants being used in the USA ,the time when purchased originally and the RVG + ear in dead wax means it is a first pressing,nothing from exhaustive research says otherwise .
