The song is ParisOriginal US LP released in 1962 on the Orange & Black Impulse label. Cat: AS17. This album has a gatefold sleeve. Has Van Gelder stamped in runout groove.
Over the next several months we have the pleasure of listing a spectacular vinyl collection of over 6000 LP's. This collection consisting of mostly Jazz but also Blues, Folk ,Rock, Soundtracks and Classical was kept in amazing condition. Most of the records were played once, transferred to tape for listening and then stored away in cliplock sealed bags in specially made cupboards. The overall condition of this collection is sublime to say the least and whatever items I list as Near Mint you can be assured that it was probaly only ever played once!! Over the last few weeks you may have noticed some of the lovely jazz & rock titles I have listed, these are just the tip of the iceberg here. I hope you enjoy seeing these listings as much as I have in offering them.
The Song Is Paris pairs Jackie Paris with arranger Bobby Scott, whose simple but effective treatments prove well-matched to the singer's uncommonly direct approach. Because he was never a showy or self-indulgent vocalist, Paris never received the acclaim he deserved, and the subtlety of a record like The Song Is Paris further underlines just how deceptive his music can be the album shifts so effortlessly between moods and tempos that its broad range threatens to pass by virtually unnoticed. Paris' nuanced, succinct approach to the material likewise eschews technical acrobatics in favor of sincerity and poignancy slowly but surely, the songs work their way deep under your skin.

There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has a few very light scuff marks and is in Excellent condition. Thick full gloss gatefold sleeve has a seam split on bottom back edge of gatefold about 8 cm long. All other seams are fully intact. Cover is in VG condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
Post methods within Australia: All records are posted via Australia Post. Within Australia all items come with a tracking number.
Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
