Description

Original UK Fontana LP issue of "Laid", the fifth studio album by Mancunian indie-folk band James, featuring the hit singles 'Laid' and 'Sometimes'.  This LP is very rare on vinyl.  Purchased in 1993, this record has only been played ONCE in 17 years.  The sleeve includes an advertising sticker and a price sticker from Dr Robert's record shop in Belfast (see above Tim Booth's head in the item photo).

The vinyl is in MINT condition (apart from a small amount of dust).  The sleeve is in very good condition, with a small tear on the spine at the bottom  (covering the matrix number - about 1.5 cm in length) and a small amount of ruffling (about 1.5-2cm) on the back cover near the bottom.  The inner sleeve (featuring illustrations from Jane Gott, guitarist Larry Gott's wife) is in mint condition.  Also included is a small advertising card for "new designs" of James t-shirts ("James SUCK", "GET LAID" and a stylised image of a "dyed eye" (from the song 'Laid')), including the address of the James fan club in Manchester (I have no idea if this postal address is still active!)
