Janis Joplin/Full Tilt Boogie 'Pearl'.Original UK CBS rough orange label stereo 1st press LP. This was the second solo LP by Janis Joplin and was the final album with her direct participation, and the only Joplin album recorded with the Full Tilt Boogie Band, her final touring unit. It peaked at number one on the Billboard 200, holding that spot for nine weeks. With the early A-1 B-1 matrices of the 1st press.
The Shorepak matt gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some edge/corner wear and light storage wear/creasing on the cover. The spine is intact, slightly rubbed and fully readable, the CBS inner is intact, discoloured & in VG+ condition. The record is in visually EX condition, with no scratches or nasty marks & only a few faint & wispy sleeve removal hairlines and scuffs visible under bright light on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of only one or two spindle markings. The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, with some brief background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great, loud & clear listen. The matrix nos. are; S-64188, A-1 mother stamper A-29, B-1 mother stamper C-7. This is one of later copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1971 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
All records are checked on an Acoustic Research deck before being listed and any flaws noted in the listing, so if you have any problems with the record please contact me for a full refund of original price & postage on return of the record (no partial refunds), no quibbles, no problems!! All grades are those used in the Record Collector Guide. All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2 KG!,
Will post to Europe (including all EU countries & Russia, Finland, Sweden, etc.) and Rest of the World (USA, Japan, Australia, Korea etc.), but airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to weight restrictions.
