Description
Jerry Lee Lewis: "The Sun Years" (U.K. Charly SUN-102) import LONG-OUT-OF-PRINT 12-LP vinyl box-set with booklet (36 pages, 12 x 12 inches in size). A KILLA box-set fo' da KILLA!! Plenty of unreleased outtakes, alternates + all the pumpin' piano classics! Rock & Roll HISTORY from Sun studios in Memphis, Tenn.! EACH album comes inside it's own photo sleeve, with details on the back (see scnas #5-6 above) + the booklet has his Sun discography & plenty of session notes + reproductions of picture-sleeves & EP covers + Sun newspaper & trade-paper ad's. I don't know how you could improve on this tremendous collection. Pictures above: #1-2 box covers; #3-4 covers of booklet; #5-6 covers of record #1's photo inner-sleeve; #7 label (each LP has this Sun LP label & also comes inside of a poly-line musical notes inner-sleeve that I've put inside of each photo-sleeve (mutha humpa!!); #8-12 photo covers for records #2-6 (+ there's 6 more I don't have the room for, "think about it!"). THANKS to the cd's, I can now unload all my Jerry Lee vinyl (although I DO appreciate the 12x12" size of that booklet + the individual inner-sleeve covers!).
Condition is VG++ (vinyl still glossy & appears unplayed) & overall package is VG+ (slight fraying & wear to outside of box), but no writing, tape, etc. to covers or labels (see #1-12 above). Unfortunately, after having this box for over 20 years, I just NOW split the top half of the box away from the bottom half, so it's now like a lid to the box-set (I assume the hinge COULD be repaired with Scotch magic tape or some other archival method which I'm not gonna attempt, KILLA!). So box has definite wear & is now split, as described ("& that's a mutha humpa!).
Postage within USA is $4 media mail (NOTE: eBay won't allow me to post over $4 rate, which is NOT gonna cover a 12-LP box-set + box + booklet), so I'll have to advise on the postage & will note it later (after a trip to the p.o. to weigh this killer). Overseas please add (amount to be determined) via air first-class.
