Hello there, come on in and welcome to the auction!

As you can see from my 100% feedback, I sell with complete honesty and reliability.  Above all things I am a record collector and music lover.  I only sell records that I would want to receive. I know well the disappointment of receiving an over-graded record that turns up two weeks late.  That is not the service you will receive here, so bid with total confidence. I don’t sell a lot of records because I spend a lot of time carefully finding, grading and listing them and do not like to rush this process, as many sellers must do to be able to sell 100 records a week!

I am mostly a collector of old time music, pre-war blues and folk, so buy job-lots that often contain rare records that aren’t to my taste so to ebay they go!

Here we have a 1st UK press of the Tull record living in the Past.

Released on the Chrysalis label in 1972, this is the very 1st UK press with the A-1U/B-1U matrix endings and the original Hard Book cover gatefold outer!

The record came with a fully coloured booklet that was stapled inside and also housed the vinyls within the pages!

These rare 1st press sleeves are nearly always crushed but this one is straight, strong and simply superb!

Along with the lowest matrix, we also have some of the earliest stampers available making this a true once in lifetime opportunity record!

Sleeve Condition.

The 1st UK print hard book cover outer sleeve is in stunning condition!  There are no rips, stains, tears or pen marks to mention!  The spine is perfectly straight and all text is perfectly readable. The original booklet with inner sleeves connected is still fully stapled in and in lovely condition, there is split on one of the inner sleeve pages and that’s all there is to mention! Stunning

Label Condition.

The first press green Chrysalis labels are in fantastic condition.  There are no rips, rubbing, writing or stains to mention.  There is no centre hole damage at all.  Even under a strong light, only the odd minor spindle can be seen! It’s clear to see that these records have been well cared for

Vinyl Visual Condition.

The vinyls look unplayed! Simple as that!  Under a strong halogen, the odd minor hairline and removal can be seen but with nothing that affects the perfect playback at all! Stunners

Vinyl Audio Condition.

The record sounds superb from start to finish!  There are no jumps, skips or distortion at all!  The dynamics of all the different instruments are so well defined and easily separable by the ear.  I didn’t hear a crackle or pop throughout and no unwanted distortion or background noise at all! There was a little static on the run ins and the occasional between tracks as is to be expected! Truly Great!

So there we have it… One of the rarest and earliest of the UK pressings of A Living in the Past with one of the nicest 1st press hard cover sleeves you are likely to see housing superb slices of wax!
