Description

An original and very 1st stereo press of STAND UP on the UK Island label. Matrix A/B - very 1st cut. Many folk will already have spotted this is the VERY 1st label design available on this title. There's the Pink Island label, but make sure you find a copy with the 'Bullseye' logo - which is only found on the earliest copies. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day cover with gimmick pop-up [fully operational].
Vinyl (Vg+/Ex-) In very nice condition for the very earliest 1st press and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection a few light marks per side, and a couple of superficial trails - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Not a perfectly clean copy so it won't trouble the top grades - but by and large it will deliver enough to get most folk excited. Expect a bit of low-level static sporadically in a couple of tracks per side. Nothing invasive or up-front...just more low-level background type stuff. The only deviations were a couple of ticks midway through each side - absolutely no big deal. A really very nice player of this harder to find 1st issue.
Cover (Vg+) So so difficult to find in top order, but this example has survived the years in pretty decent condition. A very nice and clean and flat front which doesn't seem to have been all that affected by the ageing process. The rear is looking better than average with a touch of ageing and a few marks in the top left corner. The interior looks fantastic with a fully operational pop-up which is fully intact. There's a bit of edge wear, but less than you typically tend to find on this title. The spine is in above average condition - all text still more or less legible. Overall the cover still  retains excellent rigidity.
