Description

An original 1st issue of Stand Up on the UK Island label from late 1969. Matrix A2/B. Now, do be aware that this is not the 1st pressing of this particular LP. 'Stand Up' was released during a period of repeated label changes. During 1969 there were no less than three label variations for 'Stand Up'. 1st is the Pink label bullseye, 2nd is the pink label block, then in late 1969 the pink label with white 'I'. So, the pressing you are looking at comes at the end of the initial chart run in the late-autumn of 1969. In fact, the matrix numbers on this copy are identical to the late bullseye copies. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gimmick cover.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Absolutely stunning condition and has seen the lightest of use - shiny like a mirror. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. And it really needs to on this LP anything less and you will find it will start interfering with acoustic nature of the audio. Interference is minimal. All detected was a touch of light static in a couple of isolated moments..i.e. very little at all. A truly superb copy of an early original with great great audio.
Cover (Ex-) This title is particularly hard to find in top condition. They are often heavily worn, or exhibiting a lot of ageing, or failing that the pop-up in the cover is knackered. This copy really has been looked after carefully down the years. That iconic front cover looks great with no creases and barely any ageing. It's nice and flat without marking or curl. The interior is in excellent condition and the all important pop-up is still in full working order without fault. The rear seems to have avoided the worst of the usual fading. All we are seeing is a few marks in the odd place - nothing major. Edge wear is reasonably light. Most of the text on the spine is intact. Overall the cover retains great rigidity and lies totally flat.

Any purchase is guaranteed to get to you quickly, safely, and with total satisfaction, or your money back.
