ARTIST:
Jethro Tull
TITLE:
Stand Up
DETAILS:
Early press UK issue 10-track stereo vinyl LP on the pink i Island label, housed in a superb pop-up gatefold picture sleeve, ILPS9103.
GRADING:
Cover - Very Good
Internal popup is in excellent fully working condition.
The rest of the inside of the gatefold is also very clean and tidy.
A little top and bottom seam wear.
A little sleeve entrance wear.
Readable spine although the spine does suffer from wear.
Some dirt and ringwear on rear of sleeve.
I've tried to show everything on the photographs but if you require any others then please ask.
Record - Very Good
Clean labels with no writing.
Evidence the album has been well played from the wear around the spindle holes.
Some marks and scuffing on the vinyl. Still plays nicely with some background noise / crackles, more noticeable between tracks and on quieter passages. To me it was still a nice play copy.
On close inspection there are quite a few hairlines on both sides of the vinyl (I would think from storage in the heavy card inner sleeve). They don't seem to have significant effect on sound quality, very light background noise on a few quieter passages. A very nice play copy.
Our grading is based on the system used by Record Collector magazine as described below (We don't sell records with a grading of less than very good).
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
