JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE ELECTRIC LADYLAND UK 1ST PRESS blue text , 'Ghost' list...RARE
Fully laminated gatefold sleeve.
Sometimes known as the ghost text version, the inside cover has blue text track listing. Underneath the blue text a different track order can be seen The rejected tracklist order can be heard on The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland Part 1 and The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland Part 2.
This ghost text version is part of 'day of release' copies, along with the white type regular first version.
Side A is backed with side D, side B is backed with side C. Inners have the British patent no. 800513 & 973939 --- Made in England 098 & 108. Gatefold opens to view inner spread (glued to outer cover's inside tabs as separate element). Gloss laminate may expose matt areas on all four edges because of laminate shrinkage. (Effectively, the sleeve is a flattened 2-piece cardboard tube.) Big Sepia images of Mitchell and Redding
Hendrix portrait on the right-hand side (back cover behind it). Large sepia images of Redding & Mitchell on the left (front cover behind it), with blue tracks/credits text below. 'Track Record' logo center, 'Ernest J. Day' print data to the left. Erratic use of upper & lower-case in titles.

ABOUT THIS COPY:
THE GATEFOLD SLEEVE: - Nice sheen, intact, good spine, some creasing. Inside the gatefold is clean and shines well from the full lamination. There is some wear, top fold of gatefold e.g. - see all the pictures. Can clearly see the ghostly text coming through in the background...
THE INNER SLEEVES: - Original with the relevant British patent numbers, Made in England and 098 & 198 - both are useable, have creases and some light staining. One inner has some writing on top corner, not intrusive and VG all round...
THE LABELS: - TRACK RECORDS. Are very clean, only light signs of past usage , no marks, no writing / initials etc. - excellent for the age of the record
THE VINYL: - Plenty of small marks visible on all sides, only light , no deep feelable scratches, and nothing that has any significant impact on playing it. The LPs are A/D; B/C as referenced above - see all the photos - VG+
THE LISTENING EXPERIENCE: - VG+, close to excellent in places; some crackle, no skips or loud pops - view and listen to the attached video montage. I have tried to capture the essence of the sound. A great listen all round...
