Description
Original UK Track black labels & white inner lettering on the sleeve, 1968 press double stereo LP. With the A & D side on one LP and B & D side on the other and earliest A-1 B-1 & A-1 B-1 matrices. The earliest matt texture 'Version 1' labels with additional inverted catalog in parenthesis. This UK issue has no suffix to "Come On", "The" is prefixed to "Burning Of The Midnight Lamp" and "Cross Town" appears as two words! The E.J. Day Group gatefold fully laminated sleeve is intact & in VG+ condition, with some edge/corner wear & laminate wear/creasing on the front cover, the inner cover is better with some light laminate rubbing. The spine is worn and partly split, but it has been carefully repaired, and the plain company inners are in VG+ condition. The records are in visually in VG+ condition, with a few faint sleeve removal hairlines and a couple of small needle marks on sides A & D and a few more hairlines and a couple of needle marks on sides B & C visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of quite a few spindle markings on each side. The sound reproduction is still EX, clear & precise throughout with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves and in a couple of the quieter passages, still overall it is a great listen and plays really well! The matrix nos. are; 61300**8, A//1 mother stamper 1-1-18, B//1 mother stamper 1-2-18, 613009, A//1 mother stamper 1-8-1,0 B//1 mother stamper 1. This is one of the very early pressings of the original 1968 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!!All records are secondhand and are checked on an Acoustic Research deck before being listed and any serious flaws noted in the listing, but if you have any problems with the record please contact me for a full refund of original price & postage on return of the record (no partial refunds), no quibbles, no problems!! All grades are those used in the Record Collector Guide. All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!!
