Description

Artist:  JON GORDON Album:  EROTICA SUITE Label:  STRATA-EAST Catalogue # :  SES-19780 Vinyl/Cover:  VG++ / VG+
Very rare and excellent Strata-East recording.   Up until a few years ago this one was not even listed on the few online discographies you could find for Strata-East.  It's a very unique yet solid recording with notable sidemen.  It was recorded in December of 1976.
Side One:  "1st Movement - DESIRE", "2nd Movement - FULFILLMENT", "3rd Movement - AFTERMATH", "4th Movement - CONSEQUENCES" Side Two:  "Ora Lee Tingle", "Neleh", "Blue Na"
Personnel:  John Gordon - trombone; Waymond Reed - trumpet/flugelhorn; James R. Spaulding - alto sax/flute; Lyle Atkinson - bass; John Miller - piano/synthesizer/stringmen; Frank Derrick III - drums/belltree.
The vinyl is clean and shiny.  It plays quite nicely.  The cover is also in very nice condition.  It was autographed by John Gordon himself.  The autograph, though on the front cover, is fairly discreet.  It simply says "Thank You!  John Gordon" in black ball point pen in the white "leg" section at the bottom of the illustration.  There is some very light ringwear and a some slightly bent corners.  No other writing, stickers or seam splits.  It really is in nice condition.
