Description

An original 1st mono press of BW on the UK Decca label. Matrix 1A/1A - very 1st cut. Stampers 1C/1C - placing this copy amongst the first few thousand copies to roll off the press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono gatefold cover. Also included is the original Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) In very nice looking shape despite having seen a moderate level of use. Under close inspection i could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback. A decent player, but it will not trouble the top grades. There's a bit of background static noticeable in the more paired down tracks. Nothing invasive, just don't expect them to play really clean. Still a decent player and more than enjoyable if you're looking for that true mono 1st press. When on song it rocks out...
Cover (Vg+) In very nice condition and has been cared for down the years. Back and front look very nice without creasing, and just the faintest touch of ageing. The interior looks great - no issues. Edge wear is light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Lightest ageing. No splits or markings.
