Ladies, Gentlemen, fellow record nerds, I am please to bring to you not just one but two, John Surman "Mono" LP's on Deram (please see my addition auctions for the other Jon Surman LP)
Not only is this the Original UK press in NM condition but its the extremely, extremely rare "Mono" version. Not only have I never seen or owned one but it's not even listed on Discogs showing it's true rarity.
I don't need to explain that Mono recordings are far rarer to find than their Stereo counterparts and in my opinion, Mono recordings provide a far better and louder recording.
I've listened to the LP from track 1 through to track 5 and I could not hear one audio anomaly, loud pop, surface noise or anything that would ruin or distract you from the listening experience. Please bid with confidence that this is a true NM, UK 1st press, MONO version of this LP. Super Rare.
Grading
Side 1: NM
The vinyl is in NM condition with no scratches, scuffs, marks, rolling lifts, jumps or loops. There is a beautiful shine to the vinyl and while reflecting it in the light, I found it hard to spot any kind of imperfection. A true NM vinyl. Sits perfectly flat on turntable
SIDE 2: NM
The same as side 1.
LABELS: NM
Almost no signs of use at all. No writing or spindle marks. No stains or rips. NM
SLEEVE: EX
The sleeve is in EX condition with just very slight ring wear on front and a very light red tint towards bottom of sleeve. I assume this came from the other Jon Surman LP I have listed as they were stored next to one another when i found them in a private collection I purchased. There are NO rips, NO writing, NO brown spots or stains, NO de-lamination to the laminated front and the spine and all seams are straight and still completely sealed, no dry glue or peeling corners.
ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVE: EX
LP comes in the original MONO anti-static inner sleeve. No rips, no writing, no stains. Crisp, clean original inner sleeve with "Mono" around the edges. Looks almost new but does have very, very slight age toning along one side, barely noticeable.
Please feel free to ask any questions I have not already covered. Please bid with confidence, a true NM, UK 1st Press, MONO Vinyl.
International bids are welcome.
