Rare US import gatefold of the soundtrack to 'Goodbye Mr. Chips' (1969, dir. Herbert Ross), composed by Leslie Bricusse, and conducted and supervised by John Williams.

Featuring vocal performances by the two leads – Petula Clark and Peter O'Toole.

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom):
Vinyl – VG-EX. A wonderfully clean surface showing no signs of wear. Just one very light scuff on side B. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is great. No skipping, jumping or sticking. The odd click and light static in places. Overall, a fantastic listening experience!
Outer sleeve (cover) – G-VG. Super outer gatefold cover. Punch-hole in top left corner travels through inner sleeve and rear gate. Just slight mottling/rubbing in some area on front, mainly round disc outline. Corners are worn, buckled and dented. Aperture is clean and intact. Spine is also clean and intact with light rubbing/wear top and bottom. Rear outer gate has slight discolouration at bottom but generally is unmarked. Top edge of rear gate has a split near spine and another longer one near aperture. Intact in centre section. First insert page has mottling/discolouration on edges. All other pages are clean and all intact. A superb example overall.
Inner sleeve – EX. Cream paper with squared corners. Punch-hole in one corner. Clean and intact.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
