Description

An original 1st Press of J&TH's from 1960 on the London label. Matrix 1B/1B. Stampers 1A/1H - placing it amongst the first 5,000 copies ever produced. Please note labels are consistent with 1st press and include the 'recording 1st published' text and also exhibit the Decca deep groove. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original St James Press cover with scalloped flipbacks. Also included is an original Decca inner sleeve from the time. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex-) In great condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks each side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Very little to complain about with a nice solid mono audio output. Interference is both minimal and infrequent. All we detected was a touch of light static in one or two spots - i.e. very little at all.
Cover (Vg) Has been looked after during its 58 year life. Lovely shiny front with only a touch of grubbiness in one or two spots. The rear has escaped the worst of fading - it's only really noticeable on the flipbacks. Do note there is tape-residue along the bottom edge. Edge wear is relatively light and the spine is pretty much intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing and one tiny side split.
