Description
Johnny Hodges with the Duke Ellington Band - Ellingtonia 56 on the original Norgan Records Press. Autographed on the back by Duke Ellington. Original First LP Microgroove pressing on Norgan MGN-1055 Condition: Everbody's grading scales are different these days, so I'm going to describe it in detail and with pictures. Jacket - Clean glossy cover with very minimal wear. One inch seam split at the bottom center and right top. Mild corner and edge wear. Spine is completely intact with some yellowing from age. Back has a stain at the bottom viewable in the pictures and some yellowing from age. Best of all, it's autogrpahed in the upper left corner, "To James, Good Luck, Duke Ellington." Paper sleeve is unmarked and excellent condition. I'd say VG+ on the front and VG on the back due to the stain. Vinyl - Cleaned on a VPI. Has some surface scratching from the paper sleeve viewable in the picture, which plays with some light background pops. Label is excellent. No skips. I would give a VG. This was my father's record who passed away. We're selling the records to pay for a trip for my mom and I. Proceeds go to a good cause :) Please contact me if you have any questions before the auction is over or any concerns if you're the winning bidder. I like happy customers.
