Description
Johnny Smith Metal acetate 12" 78 Big Toe Boogie b/w I Wouldn’t Trade This is a great rocking Surf Country Rockabilly instrumental, which was probably unissued, backed with a beautiful honky tonk side. Drifting Johnny Smith was a one man band and on these songs he is singing, playing rhythm guitar and blowing harmonica, while also plucking a bass with his right foot, and playing a lap steel guitar with his left foot! This acetate was found in 4 Star warehouse Also on this acetate is a short instrumental, and a male vocalist singing Embraceable you.
These sides were recorded at 4 Star on 4/14/1952 No reference numbers on acetate or old sleeve.
The record is in Mint- condition. It must have stood in 4 Star studio warehouse untouched and unplayed for over 70 years.
You can hear samples of both sides taken from this 12" metal acetate by clicking the player below
