Up for auction is my copy of Jonathan Richman's 2010 LP "O Moon, Queen of Night on Earth" on Vapor Records. This is a lovely collection of unique songs from the influential proto-punk extraordinaire. The vinyl and the gatefold sleeve are both in EXCELLENT condition, there is no damage to either to report. I am the only owner and it has been played once or twice but mostly just sitting in storage. Add it to your collection today!
"Like its recent predecessors, Richman's new album is a pretty faithful representation of his live show. With little distracting studio gloss, it captures Richman's warbling, Boston-accented croon; his nylon-string, flamenco-tinged acoustic guitar; and longtime drummer Tommy Larkins' stripped-down kit, which he plays with jazzy panache. There are backing vocals from a handful of guests, including wife Nicole Montalbano and singer/songwriter Ólöf Arnalds (of Icelandic band Múm), but these all blend comfortably enough to add to the album's feeling of shared intimacy, rather than subtract from it." - Pitchfork
