Description

An original 1st press of Closer on the UK Factory label. Matrix A1/B1. Etching 'Old Blue?' - indicative of 1st issue. The vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse smooth cover. Also included is the original inner sleeve too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In superb condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is non-existent. I couldn't detect more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments the whole way through. If you want to hear Closer as though you were in the studio..[without getting physically threatened! - ha]..you need to pull the trigger on this copy. A beautiful player by any standard and one that would be impossible to improve upon.
Cover (Ex+) In incredible condition and looks like it was printed yeterday. The absence of lamination and the white colour means they are one of the hardest covers to find in top condition. This example is nigh on perfect. Beautifully white back and front with no creasing or grubby marks at all. Edge wear is super-light for this title and the spine, unusually, is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and lies totally flat. A stunning specimen!
Inner (Ex) Unaged and only some light creases in the top-right corner and one smudge. No spits.
