Description

An original 1st issue of CLOSER on Factory for the UK market from the charting period. Matrix A1/B1. 'Old Blue?'. Nice to see the pressing weight is better than you typically get in this period. The vinyl comes housed in an original textured G&L cover printed in England. We also have the original 1st inner sleeve too with square corners So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. Standard black vinyl.
Vinyl (Ex) In excellent condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out some very superficial bag-rash type markings - nothing remotely troublesome. But visible all the same - be sure you can handle that. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and clean and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Importantly it's playing clean in those low-key moody sequences. A super player - you will not find any better out there. There's nothing to improve upon. Why not take in this Factory masterpiece the way it was intended, as it was first issued. Superb.
Cover (Ex-/Vg+) In great order and that aesthetic on the front is well preserved without noticeable deterioration. These original covers are hard to find in great condition. The cover is what I would describe as one or two shades off of full white. It is not perfect - hardly any copy would be given the way this cover was manufactured. Take a look at other copies on line. You will soon see this example is tidy. Nothing worse than lightest handling back and front. Spine fully intact with a touch of foxing in a few spots. Openings are unworn and overall not too much edge wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very fine specimen.
Inner (Ex/Ex+) No splits. NO ageing. Almost perfect.
