4 Record Set from the 1939 Movie

This is a set of four very old and precious records.  Due to the potential value of this set I have included a very detailed description of each record and the case below. 

DLA 1840, 1841, 1844, 1845, 1846, 1847, 1848, 1849

The inside covers include

"The Complete Story in Picture and Text from the

Metro-Golwyn-Mayer Production"

and

"The Artists of the Decca Records and the Composers of the Musical Score."

78 rpm

Condition of the Records and Case:

Record One:

Side A: Over the Rainbow - The side plays well but has a slight gritty sound.

Side B: Jitterbug: This side has a chip on the outside edge of the record.  It does not effect the song.  The sound is good

Record Two:

Side A: Munchkinland, Part I (Ding, Dong! The Witch is Dead") The record appears scratched but it did not effect the sound on my record player.

Side B: Munchkinland, Part II (The Wizard of Oz) The record appears scratched but like side a, it did not effect the sound on my record player.

Record Three:

Side A: If I Only Had a Brain - this record appears to be slightly warped but plays well on my record player.

Side B: If I Only Had a Heart: This side is damaged. There is a scratch about 3/4 through the record - the needle sticks in this area on my record player.

Record Four

Side A: The Merry Old Land of Oz - This is the best of the four records.  The sound is very nice and visually looks good.

Side B: Follow the Yellow Brick Road - Also very good sound and appearance.

Condition of the Case

 I have include extra pictures to help with accuracy of our description.

The case is in fair condition considering the age of this set.  The color on the front cover is good.  There is some wear along the upper and lower edges as to be expected.  The binding is in tack but has been recently taped.  The inside front cover has one small pink stain (maybe highlighter?) as shown in the photo's above.  The movie pictures a clear - not faded.  The binding has been taped.  The record sleeves are in good shape but does have tape on them.  The inside back cover is in good condition but does have some tape. The photo's are clear and not faded.  The back cover is in good condition - but does have tape on the upper edge and binding.

Overall - I would say this set is in "good condition" but does have some flaws.

Fees include a heavyweight box to properly protect your new record, insurance and tracking.  Should the final shipping cost be significantly less than the estimated amount, we will refund that amount back to you.
