Description

KARAJAN / GOBBI / SCHWARZKOPF / PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA & CHORUS / VERDI - " FALSTAFF ", Columbia/EMI Records Ltd. (ASD 2254-2256) Stereo.

Very rare, English 1st pressing Columbia LP box set with the original light blue and silver labels, etc

Includes libretto.

Pressed in England.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeves (the original inner sleeves have also been retained and included in the auction - see photo).

CONDITION:

VINYL =  EXCELLENT  (No scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, only the lightest spindle trails, etc. In normal daylight the all vinyl appears perfectly clean, under a bright grading lamp I can make out some very faint paper scuffs - although these are purely visual and during playback, these very slight cosmetic flaws don't correspond directly to any audible defects.
On playback, there is some faint surface noise during the silent run-in (in the pressing) which disappears as soon as the music gets going. It plays really well - strong, clean and without interuptions.

Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)

LIBRETTO = EX- (A little bit of foxing in the covers but the pages are flat, clean and undamaged)

BOX  = V.G.+ (Not totally ruined by any means. But the top left corner of the lid is split and the edges and a small section of the back of the box suffer light staining and a bit of general wear - see photos for further clarification)

NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records. Before bidding, please read my description carefully, decide how much this record is worth to you and place you max bid accordingly. Please also feel free to check out my feedback from the many other successful transactions I have made in the past.

ANY QUESTIONS? PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO GET IN TOUCH!

HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!
