Description
Cook Road Recordings 5002, “Deadbeat Guitar and the Mississippi Blues” with K.C. Douglas, guitar and vocals; from the 1950s. The original yellow-label vinyl plays at VG(+) with definite light static. The jacket has solid seams all around but does have light seamwear and mild corner wear; the jacket is basically clean with some age toning. Numbers are “Canned Heat”, “Kansas City”, “Catfish”, “I Got the Key”, “Big Road Blues”, “Casey Jones”, “Mercury Blues”, “Blues”, “I Met the Blues This Morning”, “I Have My Woman”, and “Had I Money”. With songs collected by the folklorist Sam Eskin, this rare LP is one of the blues must-haves.
Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra. Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
