Syliphone was the iconic label that recorded all the great Afrobeat bands of Guinea in West Africa during the period of "Authenticité" that inspired the musical revolutions in nearby Mali and Senegal, and has been the subject of recent, award-winning CD re-issue compilations. Mint copies of the original vinyl albums are now increasingly rare. Keletigui Et Ses Tambourinis were one of the top handful of these bands, and Le Retour was their last for Syliphone. Keletigui passed away last year.
