Their self titled 1st LP released in 1969

Vinyl LP:  Spark SRLP 102

STEREO 1st Pressing 

 

Side 1 Dead Wax SRLP 102 A - 1  etched

Side 2 Dead Wax SRLP 102 B - 1  etched

 

Disc: Still retains a good sheen. Has some marks, hairlines and light scratches, and on side 2 some prominent scuffing. Plays with some crackle which is worst at the start of each side and improves to be hardly noticeable by the end of each side. This is a loud pressing and what crackle there is is generally only really noticeable during quiet passages and between tracks. The scuffs on side 2 noticeably sound on track 4, mainly at start and end of the track, and on track 5 a scuff noticeably sounds for the first 30secs(approx). No skips or jumps or loud pops. I would grade aurally as VG-.

 

Labels: There is a small semi circular sticker neatly positioned on both labels. On side 1 there is writing (a small name only noticeable in certain lights). Spindle trails are evident in the right light. Otherwise in very good condition.

 

Sleeve: G+ Front cover laminate is intact with some creasing. Two names in small neat writing are written on the front cover. Corner fraying. Minor wear on back unlaminated cover. Split spine (approx 4inches). No noticeable wear to top and bottom edges.

 

Inner: Excellent but possibly not original. 

 


Play graded on a Dual 505-2 Deck , Orotfon 10 Cartridge , Denon PMA 300V Amp, Q Acoustic 3050 Speakers.

PACKAGING: Vinyl records are packaged for shipment in professional high quality Record Mailers. A minimum of 2 strong card stiffeners are inserted . Records are removed from the outer sleeve (and inner sleeve if this is not of a generic variety) to prevent sleeve edge splits. Mailers are marked “FRAGILE”, and “PLEASE DO NOT BEND” front and back.

Please note I try to play all records. Where I think it is warranted I will give specific details of sound quality in the item description.  

Mint minus (M-)

cover – like new, with no defects vinyl –  like new, likely played only a few times, no surface marks, no sound defects
Excellent (EX) cover – shows signs of minor wear & creasing vinyl – slight superficial marks that do not affect play
Very Good (VG) cover – normal  wear & tear on the cover, light ring wear for example vinyl – shows marks & light scratches that do not have a major effect on the sound quality
Good (G) cover – has scuffing of edges, ring wear, large split spine etc vinyl – scratches and scuffs, will play thru but there will be surface noise and/or pops and clicks. 
A + or - indicates minor variations in grading.
