: KING CRIMSON ‘IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING’ 1969 UK FIRST PRESSING LP – A UK PINK ISLAND RECORD LABEL STEREO VINYL LP IN, E.J.DAY GATE-FOLD SLEEVE CATALOGUE NUMBER, ILPS 9111.
A respectable example of King Crimson’s Debut UK Album, released in 1969 on the Pink with White i Island Record Labels, in E.J.Day London, Gate-fold sleeve, with first pressing matrices.
Both record labels are in superb Excellent condition, bright and undamaged record labels with just a few light signs of play to the centre of each record label.
Side 1 matrix information 1: ILPS 9111 A 2 1 2 and Side 2: ILPS 9111 B#4 11.
Side 1 of the LP is in Very Good condition, with a bright vinyl surface, showing a few surface hairline scratches, and plays very well without skips, with just a few clicks on track 2.
Side 2 of the LP is in Excellent Minus condition, clean, a bright vinyl surface with just a couple of light surface hairlines, and plays very well without clicks or skips.
The LP plays well without major faults, with light background crackle and several light clicks on track 2 side 1, caused by a small scratch.
The LP comes in it’s original ice blue poly lined Island Records inner bag, and is protected in it’s original Gate fold Picture sleeve which is in Very Good, to Very Good Plus condition, the sleeve shows rub marks to the edges and spine edge, and bumps to all four corners, there is a 2” split to the top reverse edge, the inner gate-fold centre of the sleeve is undamaged and in Excellent condition.
This is a rare album and a respectable example of this first issue UK Stereo release from, King Crimson
