KING CRIMSON
- IN THE WAKE OF POSEIDON -
1970 ILPS 91271st PRESS Matrix no's : ILPS9127 A//1 / B//1
Visually the vinyl retains excellent sheen - under bright light there are lots of visible marks, predominantly hairlines but also some other more significant marks and blemishes. Playback is overall graded at VERY GOOD PLUS - plays better for large parts of the Lp but in the quieter parts there is audible surface noise and with this Lp both sides start quietly and Side 2 includes a couple of quieter tracks.
The PINK 'I' ISLAND LIGHTLY TEXTURED record labels are EXCELLENT MINUS - some minor visible spindle wear and slight discolouration to centres.
The quality card TEXTURED GATEFOLD PICTURE sleeve printed by the EJ DAY GROUP is VERY GOOD - the overall condition is pretty good but does have some surface tears along the top of the front and the back and also within the gatefold. There is also a 15cm split along the top edge and and 8cm one along the bottom running from the opening. And some edgewear and spine rub so now only 50% legible. This has always been a notoriously fragile sleeve and sadly this one is no exception to that rule !!

All Lps are packed carefully and shipped using purpose made new corrugated card RECORD MAILERS ( not thin card, single sleeve 'envelopes' etc ) and we take care to make sure that the vinyl and inner sleeve are removed from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits during transit.POSTAGE:
