For sale here is aVERY rare LP. the SECOND (especially in this condition) by KING CRIMSON called " IN THE WAKE OF POSEIDON" and is an ORIGINAL 1970 UK STEREO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press ISLAND label.THIS LP IS MEGA RARE AND VERY DIFFICULT TO LOCATE. THIS IS ONE OF KING CRIMSON's RAREST LP's EVER, AND HARDLY EVER TURNS UP FOR SALE... TRY AND GET HOLD OF ANOTHER ONE!..NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN SUPERB CONDITION...(have a look at my photo's) THIS IS THE ORIGINAL UK 1970 STEREO 1st PRESSING ON THE 1st PRESS ISLAND LABEL. 1st PRESS A1 / B1 MATRIXES, AND 1st PRESS TEXTURED FINISHED GATEFOLD SLEEVE ...THIS LP IS MEGA RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE RECORD...this is the ORIGINAL ISLAND UK STEREO 1st pressing from 1970 and is in SUPERB condition!..The record is pressed on a slab of THICK black quality vinyl. The Cat no. is ILPS -9127 on the 1st press ISLAND label...(have a look at my photo's) and is a UK STEREO 1st Pressing..

Labels are the sensational textured white i PINK ISLAND format in as near as near MINT!!!  condition. With the white i PINK ISLAND logo below the central holes on both labels to confirm that this is the very first issue of this magnificent rarity. Has just the 1 or 2 very minor spindle line and NO damage of any kind. NO graffiti , NO rips NO tears, and in as near as MINT!!! condition!!!

Vinyl

Thickly pressed heavy weight vinyl pressing with jet black mirrior like surfaces That have that just pressed look!!. A magnificent vintage classic . Against a strong halogen light and angled at 45 degrees , There are NO surface marks,NO scratches and NO blemishes at all!! Has NO very tiny faint wispy lines visible at all. A remarkable visual and impossible to locate in this condition! and would therefore grade as near as MINT!!!...This really DOES look absolutley UNPLAYED!!!!

Sleeve

First issue textured finished gatefold sleeve has just some minor storage wear to the edges and corners. The sleeve has NO rips, NO tears and absolutley NO graffitti whatsoever,and is a pleasure to view.The sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition and a Fantastic collectors item . The Spine is straight but only partly legible due to some rubbing. This is still a fine example of this sensational ISLAND classic !!!!. there is however a wear type mark to the inner gatefold ..... see pictures

Condition Grading of Vinyl Records

the condition-grading of records is visually because, due to the high volume of items handled, it is impossible for me to test-play every record. All records are subject to detailed visual scrutiny after professional cleaning. Please see my Returns Policy for details of my no-quibble money-back guarantee which is applicable in the rare event of dissatisfaction, for whatever reason.

I use the basics of Record Collector's Rare Record Prices Guide grading as the the system employed in the condition-grading of vinyl records offered for auction

MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
