Description
THE KINKS: I Took My Baby Home / Long Tall Shorty (´65 / very rare orig. French/German issue / PYE-VOGUE DV 14330 / red-white label / general info: a small number of the earlier Kinks´ singles did come out as "mixed" versions (or more precisely: export versions, as these records were made in France, but they were only sold in Germany) - maybe the correct description of this kind of 7" would be "pre-release import" version / the label lists "made in France" below the German GEMA imprint as well as "made in Germany" on the label´s rim (which is rather confusing and an obvious contradiction in itself, but the record company manufactured the labels just that way!...) / 1st p/s variation with scarce so-called "Manhattan" p/s (probably at the same time the record was also issued with the so-called "girl" p/s) - the p/s lists "Imprimé en France", but (another confusion!) the text on the p/s is printed in German language / only the initial run of records was mfd. like this 7", within a few weeks this French/German version was replaced by an "official" German issue)

DESCRIPTION:
obviously this is a former radio station copy: on the right bottom corner of the front p/s there´s a large archive sticker, and on the left side at the top of the frontside there are some writings (catalogue no; duration of both songs) / the sleeve corners are slightly bent, and there´s a small tear of ca. 1 cm length into the side opening of the frontside / tiny tear in the middle at the top of the back sleeve (just below the "Vogue" logo) / otherwise superb p/s: there´s a very light ringwear and a slight impression of the record´s center on the back sleeve, but the p/s has only a minimal trace of a ringwear on the frontside / the vinyl has a few light hairlines, but there are absolutely no deeper scratches; overall the record is in somewhat better shape than most copies of this 7" you might ever see on offer / two stickers on the A-side label, one sticker on the B-side labelWHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
