Description

SETTLE IN FOR A LONG RUN OF COLLECTABLE LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES!!  This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1969 PROMO ONLY REPRISE RECORDS LP titled 'Then Now And In Between' from The Kinks.  It is U.S. Reprise Records catalog number PRO 328, two tone orange and brown labels with steamboat.  This LP was not sold in stores at retail - It was only available as part of a promotional box set titled 'God Save The Kinks' which was sold directly by mail by Reprise Records to promote The Kinks' then-current album release 'The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society'.  The album includes a 'Chunky Medley' of early material that is only available on this LP - Tracks: Early Chunky Medley: Louie Louie / You Really Got Me / I Need You / Till The End Of The Day, A Well Respected Man, Dedicated Follower Of Fashion, Dandy, Sunny Afternoon, David Watts, End Of The Season, Sitting By The Riverside, Death Of A Clown, The Village Green Preservation Society, Last Of The Steam-Powered Trains, Big Sky, Berkeley Mews, Days, Waterloo Sunset.   Condition of record is conservatively a real nice high VG+ with all original gloss and just a few light surface marks, none of which can be felt and none of which affect play.  Record plays through very nicely with a little bit of light surface noise.   Labels have no real flaws.  Condition of cover is a low VG+ with a scratch mark that runs horizontally across the mid right side of the cover as can be seen in my accompanying image, the 1/4" beginning of a split at the top right corner, a fair amount of ring and contact wear, mainly on the front cover, a couple of wrinkles, and a moderate to fair amount of general wear and a little flaking along the edges and on the corners.  Cover has no tears, stickers, or writing.  Your U.S. Kinks LP collection is not complete without this title - This scarce PROMO ONLY LP would be an essential rare addition to any Kinks or British Invasion rock-n-roll record collection!
