Hi, up for sale here is the well known (in KISS record collector circles) KISS - Ace Frehley 7" single: New York Groove b/w Snowblind. Released in England on December 1, 1978 on the Pye/Casablanca label. Catalogue # CAN 135....and pressed in - of course, translucent space blue vinyl with large picture label on the "A" side.

Without a doubt, the U.K. 7" coloured vinyl KISS singles are the most collectible of the solo releases than those from other countries on regular black vinyl. Ace's always was the most desirable = hardest to find of the 4.
Selling this single on behalf of a friend - it was actually listed a couple of weeks ago but was mysteriously pulled after an hour or so?!.....So here it is again, and quite timely due to the sad and recent loss of Ace.
Probably the cheapest Ace blue vinyl you'll find on ebay and there's a reason (I remember it well). The condition of both vinyl & sleeve are not the greatest. My mate bought this record at the same time as Paul's purple vinyl Hold Me, Touch Me. (Which will also be listed when found), from a market stall, many years ago. Goes a long way to explaining the wear & tear. 
I'm a collector myself and pretty critical when rating items - the record itself looks to have a lot of ingrained dirt and probably benefit from a deep clean. I currently don't have a working turntable, so unfortunately, I can't play-test it. However, there are visible scuffs & scratches throughout - very hard to see on the photos and photograph, due to the blue colour. The "B" side has heavier scuffs than the "A". As stated, I can't play this, but just looking at this, there definitely would be crackle & pop. The good news - the single isn't warped, and the picture label is really nice. No spindle wear, colours are really strong, no burrs, air bubbles, lifting anywhere, etc. "B" side is also nice, just a hint of a small, light brown stain around the "Made In England" wording and light marks/wear around the spindle hole. All print full intact, no fading, etc. Overall and picky rating I'm marking it a 4 to a 4.5 out of 10.
The sleeve is poor; as you can see from the photos - lots of wear, especially along the top opening edge. It was common on these singles, but this has more than most.
Most noticeable on the top, opening edge - these solo singles were always prone to wear here. According to my mate, he found this in a box with the Paul 7" on a market stall. The guy running it said they'd been in there for years. It certainly looks like they were - "flicked" through without the protection of a poly protective sleeve.  Splits along the length of this top opening edge, the worst of these being a couple in the centre area. One on the left side of "ACE" extending down to "FREHLEY" and the other on the right, again going down just past "ACE".  Take a close look at the pictures provided.
There's also a 3" (7.5cm) split along the bottom edge - again, please see photos.ne Remarkably, the left & right side aren't split through, but do show heavy-ish wear. Creases to all 4 corners and someone wrote: "£1.00" in black pen on the bottom left on the FREE Ace Frehley MASK INSIDE." **Which it should be noted here that free mask is missing from this copy unfortunately.
A couple of other notes; "379" is lightly written in blue ballpoint pen on Ace's right cheek and it looks like someone has "dotted" his eyeballs?!!!  After reading the condition of the cover; the good news? Well, there is some - there are NO decades old repairs - which is something in its favour. No dried out, browning or sticky tape residue, tape flaking off, etc. ALL the original "paper" is there too. Nothing torn off/missing and NO pen or marker touch up's anywhere.  Overall, definitely a well used and worn copy, but in honest condition. What you see is what you get to quote RATT.  Rated at a 3.5 out of 10.
A record showing it's nigh on 47 years of age,  but would make a good starter copy for the collector on a budget who needs this. Would make a nice display piece. The great label and the blue vinyl make this.
There you have it, a cool piece of Ace vinyl - I will post/ship this record worldwide with the same care as a mint example. Will be bagged and placed in a 7" single mailer. Thanks for looking and good luck.
