KISS – Music From The Elder - 1981 Casablanca NBLP 7261 Rock Vinyl LP Record Album

  • Original 1981 Hauppauge Pressing/Sterling - Matrix above in item specifics section
  • Record - Nice gloss and shine, signs of lighter play, soft sleeve and handling contacts, sharp labels, play tested through nice, strong musical passages with soft surface noise between tracks - VG+
  • Jacket - Solid and tight, gatefold style w/ original inner printed poly sleeve, edge and corner rubs/bumps/creases, "501" on rear cover - VG+

This is a compelling find for any KISS collector: a first pressing of the 1981 concept album, 'Music From The Elder.' Produced by Bob Ezrin, this ambitious project marked a significant departure for the band, venturing into progressive rock and orchestral arrangements. The album features a cinematic narrative and standout tracks such as 'A World Without Heroes,' 'The Oath,' and 'I.' This specific pressing is identified by the Casablanca Record and FilmWorks label (NBLP 7261) and includes the iconic hand-with-ring center label art. Visible in the images is the original gatefold sleeve, which opens to reveal a dramatic, candlelit table scene that perfectly captures the album's mystical and theatrical theme. The package also includes the original printed inner sleeve containing lyrics and production credits. This 12-inch vinyl record runs at 33 ⅓ RPM and represents a unique era in the band's history, often cited as their most experimental work. It is a must-have for fans looking to complete their discography with a pivotal early 80s release.
