ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This outstanding LP – a beautiful collector’s copy – from Westminster (WST 14072, US pressing, black/blue band label, stereo) features Polish pianist
Wladyslaw Kedra’s magnificent cycle of Chopin’s 3 Piano Sonatas, warmly recorded in the Mozartsaal, Vienna, in 1959, offered here in the finest possible pressing; moreover, a copy in wonderful condition.
The exact contents are as follows:
Piano Sonata No. 1 in C minor Op. 4
Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor Op. 35 “Funeral March”
Piano Sonata No. 3 in B minor Op. 58
Kedra was a remarkable pianist and remains an artist whose discography is richly deserving of systematic re-issue renewed appreciation on record.
There are informative liner notes on the reverse side of the jacket by J. Robison, provided in English only. The striking cover design is uncredited, alas.
CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is near-MINT. There is very minor bumping at corners, but that is all. Really, the album appears almost as new. There are no seamsplits, bends, or owners' markings and the album remains solid, bright, glossy, and highly attractive in appearance – overall, an outstanding collector's copy.
The condition of the LP itself is near-MINT. Though the surfaces are not perfectly silent (and thus I have rated it NM vs. MINT) this is a fine copy and playback is superb. If you must have perfect surfaces, then please do not buy this LP. Overall, this rates as a NM collector's copy.

This LP has been carefully cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
