Kerrville Folk Festival 1981b And so with the 1981b album, we come to the end of Kerrville as documented on 12" vinyl. Highlights included Steve Young performing his signature song, "Seven Bridges Road", Jimmie Dale Gilmore & Butch Hancock putting "Dallas" on the map, and an extraordinary updated version of "Puff The Magic Dragon" by Peter Yarrow. And so fellow Luddites, the story of Kerrville transfers to the digital age with a continuance on the new fangled thing called a "Compact Disc". Hmmm, it'll never catch on. These Kerrville records are a timeless snapshot that represent the golden era of Texas music in all it's forms. Each year, a limited edition record was produced (Limited to 1,000 copies) that ended in 1981 Signed On The Front By Jimmie Dale Gilmore Steve Young & Butch Hancock who drew the character on the stage.
