WET

"The Dreamer" 3-Song 12" Vinyl Picture Disc

This is an hilariously over-the-top, shamelessly self-promoting and name-dropping slice of mediocre metal from Kevin Wet. Hailing, apparently, from Portland, OR, Mr. Wet dropped this bomb on the world sometime around 1980.

Obviously, the best thing about this record is the picture on the front of the picture disc: this features two young nubile 'hot tramps' wired (and possible lubed) for action! If you are man enough to take the heat (and not just one, but two -- count 'em! -- bush shots), you can check out the uncensored version HERE!

Here's some of the wonderfully campy '80s' copy from the liner notes:

A warning about playing 'Babies of the Night' (which features backup vocals from the BedWetters!): "A special note .. to those who play this song cranked to the max. The explosion at the end may result in blown woofers if your speakers aren't up to par. If they are please remove all eye glasses or contact lenses to prevent broken glass in eyes." Elsewhere, 'Bombs' are credited to Blasto!

Kevin has a number of 'Thank You's': he thanks "Robert Halford and Glenn Tipton of Judas Priest for being so kind and taking time to rock with me." He also thanks "Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth for spending time to get high with me and giving the world their killer rock." He also gives a shoutout to KISS: "And a very Special Thanks to my favorite band in the world Kiss for giving me the drive and inspiration to keep fighting for the cause."

Most of all, of course, he wants to thank his fans: "And last but not least thank all of you who have let me get you WET!" Eeewww!

Even more incredibly, this is Kevin's dedication: "These songs are dedicated with all my love to the heart and soul of John Lennon"!

Oddly enogh, he does not thank (or even mention) either Alice Cooper (from whom he borrowed most of the tune of the first song on the record) or David Bowie (who's 'lightning bolt' face make-up Kevin appropriates for his pic on the back cover).

All three of the song tracks are on one side of the record. The naked chick side is just the chicks, no music: which is a relief!

CONDITION -
Jacket: EX- with a little light wear.
Vinyl: Unfortuantely, there are 2 skips early on in the first track and clicks and pops elsewhere -- but, believe me, you won't need to play this through more than once!
