Description

On offer is a very respectable  example of  King Crimsons second album titled "In the Wake of Poseidon" This is an original FIRST PRESSING released during 1970 on the PINK ISLAND "I" LABEL ILPS-9127 with the matrix A1/B1.

 CONDITION: The surface of the vinyl has retained an excellent deep gloss. When examined under a strong light there are visible surface marks, in the main these are paper scuffs, simply the result of  the record being withdrawn from its paper inner sleeve, in addition there exist half a dozen very light hairline scratches non of which have an adverse effect on ones listening experience. The audio playback is of a very high quality overall with only slight crackles audible on the run ins and a very few quite passages. Both labels are clean, without added writing or surface damage; there are some spindle lines but the centre holes are very neat and have clean edges. The standard made in  England white inner sleeve has some discolouration together with corner creasing.. The textured gatefold sleeve is effected with nothing worse than  some corner and edge wear; the writing to the spine is all legible

I have awarded the vinyl and packaging with an overall realistic VERY GOOD grade as per Record Collectors grading system.
