Description
An original 1st issue of ITCOTCK on the UK Island label from 1969. Matrix 3/3. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in a heavy-card original Ernest J Day cover. Also included is the original blue Island inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In absolutely superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A lot of this album is acoustic and percussive in nature. If your copy has seen a lot of use interference is going to start invading the listening experience. This copy is very low-mileage and thankfully plays really really clean. It's not perfect all the way through, but most of it is really very top-level. There's a touch of light static just noticeable in the intro to Moon Child. And then there's a scuff mark in 'Talk To The Wind' which causes about five light ticks - again nothing major and it passes very quickly. It's the audio quality that really wows with great resolution and transparency. Providing you can live with that one scuff [minor aberration] it really is blindingly good.
Cover (Vg+) In lovely condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. Lovely clean front with only very light handling. The rear in equally good condition with a couple of minor scuff marks. The interior is in super condition too. There's some light edge wear and the text on the spine is mostly still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remain a very fine specimen.
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Light ageing.
